United for Georgia Women’s newest campaign, Public Service to Public Power, recruits, trains, deploys, and mentors displaced federal workers on the front lines of democracy work in Georgia, focusing on the most competitive legislative races ahead of the 2026 midterms.

A winning campaign requires strong teams, and too often, staffers are underpaid, undervalued, and undertrained, leaving even the best candidates at a disadvantage.

Trump’s assault on federal workers has displaced thousands of skilled professionals. Now they’re fighting back.

Through Public Service to Public Power, these experts are completing specialized training in campaign strategy, fundraising, communications, and field organizing.

Once trained, they become members of the Public Power Corps — a statewide network ready to work on the front lines of Georgia’s elections.

This initiative is more than just training. It is building a long-term bench of campaign leaders who will power progressive victories, rebuild trust in government, and help reclaim our state from extremism.

Last cycle, UFGW raised over $500,000 to directly support our Georgia state house candidates. This year, we’re aiming to double that amount so we can pay competitive staff salaries and give our candidates the professional support they need to win.
